The Hartford’s optional Business Income coverage helps protect your income against expense losses, such as those caused by severe weather events where interruption of service results from physical damage or loss to:

  • Off-premises overhead transmission lines
  • Off-premises power, water, and communication services; no separate elections or additional premium charges for each service

This valuable plan also offers:

  • Minimal wait with a 12-hour waiting period after a loss before coverage begins
  • A $25,000 minimum limit
  • 30 days of extended income protection, with an option to increase coverage to 12 months

The Hartford’s optional Data Breach coverage protects your business against the loss, theft, accidental release, or accidental publication of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) including:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Bank account numbers
  • Credit or debit card numbers
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • Patient history and medications

Our team will work with you to create a data breach response plan by providing:

  • Breach counseling to help determine if a breach has occurred and assess the severity of the incident
  • Notification assistance to prepare notification letters that comply with regulatory requirements
  • Crisis management and public relations to help handle a breach and restore your business’s reputation
  • Remediation services to provide recommendations for impacted individuals like credit monitoring
  • Documentation and support to record steps taken and remediation services provided in the event you’re sued and need to prove steps were taken to contain the breach

Additional Optional Coverages

  • Hired and Non-Owned Auto coverage may be provided under Business Liability coverage for damages the insured is legally obligated to pay due to bodily injury or property damage arising out of the use, loading, or unloading of a hired or non-owned automobile in connection with the insured’s business
  • CyberFlex coverage helps protect your business website against activities you could be held liable for
  • Money and Securities used in your business are covered against disappearance or destruction
  • Valuable Papers and Records coverage can help pay for reproduction of important documents, temporary storage, and moving records to avoid a loss
